"RJ"

The KSPCA was contacted by a person in need who brought RJ to Kapaa Animal Clinic for emergency surgery for an Arrow that was shot straight through his chest. Sad and in pain, RJ fought for his life. The team at Kapaa Animal Clinic sprang into action and was able to remove the arrow from his chest within 24 hours! Doggy Heaven watched over RJ as the arrow missed any vital organs and passed his main arteries. Despite being shot, he showed unconditional love to the staff at Kapaa Animal Clinic and to his rescuer! His story traveled fast through the coconut wireless of Kauai and his forever family jumped online with no hesitation to process his adoption. RJ has since made a full recovery and is enjoying the company of his parents with 5 human siblings and 5 dog siblings as a pampered pup.

"Gracie"

Gracie was brought to Kauai SPCA in need of medical attention for a fractured front left leg that was believed to require amputation. She kept a very positive attitude through every vet visit and trusted that she was in good hands with her foster family. At her last visit to the vet leading up to surgery, they found that she miraculously healed and no longer needed an amputation! Gracie was able to keep all four limbs and now has a leg that adds character. Her foster fell madly in love with her and couldn't view life without her. Gracie found her forever home and is now living a wonderful life in the caring hearts of her new forever family.
